Denominational Connections

Our congregation is connected to a broad network of justice work in the larger liberal faith community. We seek to foster awareness of, support for, and participation in the programs of several Unitarian Universalist organizations.

TheUnitarian Universalist Association is your first stop to finding out more about our historic denomination. All Unitarian Universalist congregations are governed independently and finance themselves independently but are in covenanted fellowship with one another through the Association.

Partner Church

Members of our community travel to Transylvania, where we have a relationship with the Unitarian congregation in the village of Keményfalva, located in the Transylvania region of Romania.

We provide scholarships for high school and university students from Keményfalva, supply staff and resources for a summer camp for village children, and supplement the village minister’s salary.

Unitarian Universalist Service Committee

The church provides financial support for the social justice and human rights program of the Service Committee and communicates action alerts to members of our congregation.

Unitarian Universalist Urban Ministry

As one of about twenty Boston area Unitarian Universalist churches, we provide financial and other support for community service programs for the underserved in Boston.

Fair Trade Sales

We sell Equal Exchange fairly traded beverages, chocolate bars, snacks, olive oil and other items during Sunday morning Fellowship Hour as a way to promote small ecologically sound family farming. Recently we’ve added environmentally-friendly coffee filters and water bottles for purchease. In addition, we have a good selection of books from Beacon Press and Skinner House for sale.

New England District of the Unitarian Universalist Association

We participate in national and district annual meetings, conferences, and workshops and poll the congregation on issues for the annual General Assembly. The church also hosts and organizes conferences for area Unitarian Universalist churches around topics of mutual interest.
